Healthcare update: medical schemes and service providers

It is essential both for medical schemes and healthcare providers including hospital facilities and healthcare professionals to, in the interests of their members on the one hand and patients on the other, understandand and effectively:

1. negotiate collective tariffs (Fee for Service and Alternative Reimbursement Models) with practitioners and hospital service providers;

2. contract practitioners and hospital service providers on future tariff increases and different participating network options depending on the network structure; and

3. manage discounts and processes relating to regular reporting on effeciencies, quality, outcomes, admission rights, including benefit design and co-payments, availability of services, patient experience and specialist network alignment.
